Marvin WalbergMarvin W. Walberg, age 83, Lincoln, died January 29. Born March 11, 1928, in Minden to Alfred and Clara Marie (Anderson) Walberg. Graduated from Minden High School in 1945, served U.S. Navy, worked as a mechanic in Hastings, farmed and milked cows for 50 years,near Hastings and in Southeast Nebraska. Married June Fearn June 26, 1949. Member, Palmyra American Legion and Sprague Community Church. Family members include: wife, June, Lincoln; son Ron (Sally) of St. Louis, Missouri; daughters, Candy (Ralph) Phillips of Omaha; Paula (Ed) Hall of Panama; Kim Lewis of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Shirley Ekvall, niece and nephew, Cincinnati, Ohio; sisters-in-law Theresa, Sandra, Rochelle, and Lenora (Pat); brother-in-law Craig. Preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Ray, Larry, Gary, Tommy and Gail; and sisters-in-law Linda and Leona. Celebration of Life Services will be at 12:30 p.m., Friday, February 3, at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street, Lincoln. Reception in Lower level of funeral home following service. Visitation Thursday from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. with Family Greeting from 6-8 p.m. at Lincoln Memorial F.H. Memorials in care of family for later designation. Condolences at www.lincolnfh.com.
