William LindseyWilliam "Bill" Earl Lindsey, 71, Lincoln, died November 29, 2011. Born July 19, 1940 to Charles and Bertha (Shempherd), West Point, Mississippi. Retired from 27 years at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad as a hostler. U.S. Air Force, owned and operated the Hob Nob Gift Shop and worked for Vickers Hydraulics, both in Omaha, during the ‘60’s and ‘70’s. Co-founded the Lil People’s Day in 1970. Accepted Christ while attending a Billy Graham Crusade. Bill fought lung cancer for two years and three months. Family get togethers were his favorite part of the day. Family members include, wife, Judy; daughter Rhonda (Jack) Wagaman, Hickman; son, William Jr. (Maria), Alabama; six grandchildren; brothers, Chuck and Jimmy; sister, Mary; sisters-in-law, Ruthie, Jenny, and Cathy; brother-in-law, Jess; resident nieces, Daisy and Misty; other nieces and nephews; special friends, Dave and Deanna Reed, David and Carolyn Anderson. Preceded in death by parents; one brother, one sister and brother-in-law. A memorial service was held Friday, December 2, 2011, at Bethel Baptist Church, Lincoln. Inurnment will be at a later date in the Herm Cemetery, Dawson. Memorials to family for further designation. |
