Donald Janssen Donald Edward Janssen, 65, Lincoln, died December 11, 2011, at his home from Glioblastoma brain cancer. Born January 22, 1946, to Edward and Winona Janssen. Attended UNL and earned BS in Agronomy and MS in Horticulture and Forestry. Extension Educator in Horticulture with the University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension. Eagle Scout, operated two Christmas tree farms. Family members include: wife, Susan, Lincoln; daughters and spouses, Melissa and Brian Schaefer, Des Moines, Iowa; Stephanie and Andrew Schulte, Omaha; two granddaughters. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 2225 Washington Street, Lincoln. No visitation.
