Katherine HarmsKatherine M. Harms, 81, Adams, died November 30, 2011. Born June 18, 1930, at her parent’s rural Adams farm. Worked for several years at the Pickrell Locker, Farmland, and Gold Crest Retirement Center. Also volunteered at Gold Crest. Former member of Zion Lutheran Church, rural Pickrell, member American Lutheran Church, Adams. Family members include sons, Gary Harms and wife, Carol, Cortland; and Dennis Harms and wife, Diane, Adams; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; one sister, Frances Baker,Lincoln; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Rademacher, Rachel Wentz, Betty Lou Parde and husband, Heye, Dorothy Ideus, Alberta Monroe, Marge Parde and husband, Melvin, and Katie Harms; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by husband, Edward; five brothers, Hickee, Dick, Hick and wife, Katie, Lubbe, Fritz Rademacher and wife, Lena; one sister, Meta Riensche and husband, George; sister-in-law Elaine Monroe and husband ,Orville; brothers-in-law Cecil Baker, Ray Harms, Lavern Monroe, Albert Ideus, and Ernie Wentz. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 3, 2011 at the American Lutheran Church, Adams. Burial was at Highland Cemetery of Adams. A memorial has been established to the American Lutheran Church and Gold Crest Retirement Center, Adams, Ernest and Janice Jurgens in charge. |
