Jacquelyn Carpenter

Jacquelyn Elizabeth Hamlin Carpenter, 81, died on December 3, 2011, in Kansas City, Missouri.

She was born in San Bernardino, California On March 12, 1930, one of four children of Gerald and Myrle Hamlin. She and her husband, MSgt Darl D. Carpenter were married for 61 years. Survived by: four daughters and their families, Dian and spouse Randy Newton, Sons Ryan & Chad and his sons Alec, Reece, Sawyer; Lori and spouse Jim Cessna, daughter Heather and her spouse Glenn Kammerer and children Jessica, Danny & Genevieve; Karrie and Peter Straceski, son Martin and daughter Liana and her spouse Eric Brooks. Darla and Joe Mattingly and her children Alex & Katie Kimball. Preceded in death by: two brothers; nieces and nephews.

Her life was full of memories of her military travels. Her death was hastened by malignant melanoma for which there is no cure. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, that contributions be sent to the Rosehill Cemetery in Douglas – 944 South 8th Road Douglas, Nebraska 68344. Services will be held at the Fusselman Allen Harvey Funeral Home in Syracuse at 1 p.m. on December 10, 2011 with burial in Douglas. Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home, Syracuse is in charge of the arrangements.
