Use the guidelines below to determine what and how items should be submitted.
All of the below items are accepted by:

Office Hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Should you stop by outside of office hours,
items may be left in the mail box on the front of the building.
Due to the numerous spellings of names - items will NOT
be accepted over the phone.
ANNIVERSARIES &
BIRTHDAYS
There is no charge for photos,
articles, or card showers for landmark occasions - 25th, 40th, 50th, 60th, etc.
anniversary; and 80th, 85th, and 90th, 95th, and 100th birthdays. If you submit a photo,
please send a self-addressed stamped envelope and we will return the photo. Include phone
number in case of questions. For Birthdays, you can submit a current photo. For
Anniversaries you can submit a current photo AND a wedding photo or just a current photo.
The photos should be of the couple only. Other birthday and anniversary pictures are
subject to a small charge. The deadline is Monday at 5 p.m.
BIRTHS
The birth announcement should include the birth
date, weight, and names of siblings. List parents, grandparents, great-grandparents and
their town of residence. Include phone number for verification purposes - it won't be
published.
ENGAGEMENTS &
WEDDINGS
You may include a photo for both the wedding
and the engagement- there is no charge. Engagements should be submitted a minimum of two
months before the event and weddings should be submitted within two months following. The
announcements will run on a space available basis. If you submit a photo, please send a
self-addressed stamped envelope and we will return the photo. Click the link below for the

LETTERS
TO THE EDITOR
All signed letters to the editor are welcomed.
Anonymous letters will not be accepted. Letters must name, address, and phone number which
will NOT be published but be used only for verification
purposes. Letters may be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed. Letters from organizations must
bear the names of it's members (ex: The friends of Sammy Squirrel: Bob Smith,
Joe Bob, & Mary Lou Freebush.).
NEWS RELEASES
The deadline for all news and press releases is
Monday at 5 p.m. for Thursday's paper The editor reserves the right to edit or hold any
and all news on a space available basis. Press releases must be typed and may be submitted
by mail, fax, or e-mail.
OBITUARIES
Obituaries are printed free one time. If you
desire a picture, there is a $5.00 charge. We use the same format for each obituary - we
do not list pallbearers, names of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, or cousins.
Obituaries which vary from this format, can be published but will be charged by the inch
using current advertising rates.
