A discussion over finances turned violent in a Hickman home
on Saturday, January 7.
According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s office, Justin
Adams, 29, and his wife, Colleen, 30, were arguing about finances in their
home.
Justin told deputies that during the argument, he put both
of his hands on Colleen’s neck for approximately two seconds before Colleen
struck him. He said both of them ended on the bathroom floor and he held her
wrists to calm her down.
Colleen told deputies that Justin strangled her for 30-60
seconds, restricting her airflow. Colleen then told deputies Justin took her
to the ground, and struck her head against the bathroom floor 3-5 times.
Justin was cited and is currently being held in the
Lancaster County Jail for alleged strangulation/third degree domestic
assault. Four children reportedly live at the home, but none were present at
the time of the alleged incident.
